John and Sarah had a beautiful Cape Cod day for their wedding ceremony, complete with beautiful summer flowers, violin players and loving family and friends to share in the celebration. And what would a Cape Cod wedding be without wind, a stirring summer wind flowing across the lawn, swirling the white veil and chiffon layers of Sarah's gorgeous dress as if she were in a movie!
Onlookers from the Inn's guest houses watched, totally rapt with Sarah's beauty as her dad walked her across the South Lawn to their outdoor altar close to the ocean view. All was simply spectacular this day!
And what is a wedding ceremony without tears of joy? As John spoke his intimate vows to Sarah, they both laughed and cried as only they could understand the little nuances of his custom written commitments - those little phrases and memories that a loving couple experienced together and therefore, understood. She pulled out her handkerchief and gracefully brushed away tears, and then, smiling, composed herself and expressed her vows to John. Again, there was laughter and tears as she spoke of her love for John.
Sarah's sister watched, as well as John's best man, and together, family and friends anxiously awaited as they exchanged rings and I announced them to be "husband and wife" for the first time.
Cheers arose amongst family and friends, and in the distance, from the nearby Inn houses where guests applauded from their patios and decks!
Thank you, John and Sarah, for including me in your very special day. Congratulations to you both! May you love deeply and share gladly, as you did today, your undying commitment to one another for many many years to come.
