Anthony & Melissa's Wedding, Wychmere Harbor Club, Harwich, MA

Anthony and Melissa were fortunate to have a perfect weather day for their special wedding on the lawn of the

royal Wychmere Harbor Club in Harwich, MA. I say "royal" because this club is absolutely stunning, and is perhaps one of the best kept secrets on Cape Cod. New owners have made incredible renovations to their

stately buildings and grounds overlooking the sea! They have retained some of the old with the new; the historical, handsome photo of President John F. Kennedy and Jackie Kennedy on the beach with

Caroline and John, Jr., is prominently displayed as one enters the reception room. With the yachts and boats of all shapes and sizes moored outside the fully windowed hall, one feels transported to a life of abundance and joy.

This appeared to be the wedding of defiant ring bearers, and I smile as I write this because it is usually the young flower girls who are apt to freeze just prior to walking up the aisle. I can't say that many young children wouldn't feel a little scared as all eyes are on them as they approach that aisle. Pictured here, this couple dealt with their son with humor, as he dragged his knees on the lawn, hoping to halt their progress. With little hesitation, both parents made a game out of the defensive move with a light lift and swing, drawing him gently to his feet again. If you look at the photo, even our little ring bearer seemed to smile as if he knew that he'd been outsmarted - he appears to enjoy the little swing from his parents!

Melissa was walked across the lush green lawn by both her parents, whereby they gave away their daughter to Anthony, who was smiling from ear to ear. I noticed this couple had an entirely fun time during their service, laughing and enjoying every moment of their custom ceremony.

As boats swept by behind us, Anthony and Melissa shared their sentimental vows to one another, under the sun, with a light breeze to cool them. They held hands and exchanged rings, beaming as their eyes met - there was such love in their eyes as they committed their lives to one another.

Congratulations Anthony and Melissa! May you always enjoy one another, laughing together with fair winds and calm seas.
