Tom & Sarah's Wedding, The Brewster Ladies' Free Library, Brewster, MA

I've officiated weddings on the beaches of Cape Cod, in quaint chapels, at private homes and beautiful inns that are situated along scenic views of the Cape's shoreline. The wedding for Sarah and Tom was the first wedding I've performed in a library, specifically the Brewster Ladie's Free Library in Brewster, Massachusetts. And how meaningful given that Sarah is a professional Librarian! Nestled amongst beautifully landscaped trees and plantings and flowers, this library is certainly a wonderful venue for a wedding. Inside, the lecture room is adorned with beautiful works of art from local cape cod artists and furnished with a grand piano for musical performances. In all, this library is a gem of a location for a wedding.

A very simple yet special ceremony, Tom's brother and Sarah's mother each gave special readings for this lovely couple. Tom and Sarah shared their custom vows and exchanged wedding rings. Relatives and friends gathered together from as far away as California in order to witness Tom and Sarah's commitment in matrimony.

A Kingfisher artwork perched on the wall adjoining where the wedding guests sat - a lucky omen for this beautiful bride and groom.

Once Tom and Sarah had exchanged their wedding bands, I announced Tom and Sarah to be husband and wife. And after the service, my wife Lianne took a photo of the lovely couple in front of the shelves of the children's section of the library. Obviously happy and relaxed, Tom and Sarah enthusiastically shared a hug and a kiss as the children read and played nearby. In all, it was a truly lovely wedding experience at the Brewster Ladie's Library.

Congratulations Tom and Sarah! I feel grateful and blessed to have officiated your beautiful wedding ceremony!
