Emmet & Sarah's Wedding, Captain's House Inn, Chatham, MA

A private, intimate wedding for two was held in the Library of the Captain's House Inn, Chatham, MA this past Friday, Jan. 28th.

My first wedding ceremony of 2011, Emmet and Sarah held hands and shared their special love for one another in custom vows expressed with teary-eyed smiles. It was a beautiful service located within a victorian-style inn; the Library exuded a warmth and grace mirroring that of this handsome couple.

Emmet and Sarah met while working; he a physician, and she a nurse, they found true love for themselves while caring for the lives of others by mending hearts in the cardiac unit. Families are the better for having been recipients of Emmet and Sarah's healing skills, so it is no surprise that this caring couple desired that I incorporate into their service their sentiments about children and family:

"There are children who will share in this marriage. The gathering of this new family will have a deep influence upon them. It will both complicate and enrich their lives. They will also have much to contribute to this new family. We realize that in order for the home to be a happy one, it is essential that there be love and understanding between the children and the adults being married. Accordingly, Sarah and Emmet, you must promise to be faithful, loving, tender and nurturing parents, always there for Andrew, Tayler and Matthew, not only providing their physical needs, but their emotional needs as well, always a good listener, a loving counselor and a friend."

Congratulations Emmet and Sarah! May your days together with family be blessed with much love and happiness. All the best to you both as you journey together, hearts joined together for a lifetime of peace and joy.
